Haint Jar #1

Found near the sagging porch of a long-forgotten cabin in Lampwick Holler, this Haint Jar was said to keep cupboards full through the lean months. Folks said that the glass never frosted, no matter how bitter the winter got. A bit of evergreen and a doll’s head sealed with twine and a dash of 'haint' blue, this special jar guarded pantries from mold, rot, and the skittering of mice.
